We were passing through by bike...we can only report positive things: "friendly contact, food was very good, storage for the bikes" - we will definitely stop again...😃

My review concerns only the food in the restaurant; I can't comment on the hotel. We stopped here for dinner today (November 18th) and felt very comfortable from start to finish: a super friendly welcome and great service from the owner, a fantastic selection of dishes (it's really hard to decide, everything sounds fantastic), absolutely delicious food (we had roast venison from the leg with dumplings, cranberries, and a side salad - absolutely delicious!), and a cozy and very well-kept interior. Be sure to make a reservation! We would definitely love to come back here! A small addendum: Because we loved it here so much (and enjoyed it!), we came back two weeks later - on December 2nd, 2023. It's now decorated for Christmas, and I ate a fantastic beef brisket with horseradish sauce, boiled potatoes, and cranberries! The owner of the restaurant, who once again treated and served us with incredible friendliness, attention, and courtesy, is simply wonderful. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

Absolutely delicious roulades with vegetables and dumplings. It couldn't be better, and they're also really reasonably priced! Very friendly hosts. I'd go back anytime.

We were very, very satisfied. We were able to bring our Labrador, Rocky, with us to the Golden Star. The service was very friendly and accommodating. My husband, my dog, and I give it 5 stars.

I stayed at the "Goldner Stern" in Heilsbronn and, as a solo traveler, felt very welcome, which isn't always the case. The Spelter family runs the inn with love and a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. My single room was excellent and had everything I could wish for, including a balcony with a peaceful view. I also had breakfast here during my pilgrimage. I especially enjoyed the freshly cut fruit (pomegranate seeds, yum!). The breakfast was plentiful and well-balanced. This Franconian inn (we're not in Bavaria, after all) is located near the cathedral and is easily accessible. Highly recommended! 🖼️

Very friendly and clean hotel, excellent breakfast and cuisine and fair pricing. Our personal favourite whenever we are in the region between Ansbach and Nuremberg.

As an American coming to Germany for the first time I didn't know what to expect from this hotel. It was so much above my expectations! Clean beyond expectations everyday. Breakfast and dinners were phenomenal! The host was so kind and accommodating (especially since I speak no German). The location was close to other restaurants too.
